Privacy & analytics

A small dataset.
A clear boundary.

Optional first-party analytics help the campaign understand which public pages are useful. Nothing is collected until you choose Accept. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals are treated as a refusal.

01

What is measured

The site counts page views, consented tab sessions, On the Record article opens, qualified reads after 30 active seconds and 50% scroll depth, article completion at 90% scroll depth, selected campaign calls to action, and first-touch utm_source, utm_medium, and utm_campaign values.

It does not collect IP addresses, user-agent strings, names, email addresses, contact-form fields, full referrers, query strings, exact location, voter information, or profiles that follow a person across sessions.

02

How long it is kept

A random tab-session identifier is stored in your browser session and hashed before transmission. Session, deduplication, and article-engagement evidence is deleted after 31 days. Daily aggregate counts are retained through January 31, 2027 and are scheduled for automatic deletion beginning February 1, 2027.

Reporting starts when the production tracker becomes live. No historical traffic is backfilled or fabricated.

03

Contact boundary

The contact form opens a draft in your own email application. The website does not receive or store those form fields. If you send the draft, your email provider and the campaign mailbox govern delivery and retention.
